Welcome,

My name is Charlotte and I set up this website to help people through their pet loss grief journey.

For as long as I can remember I have always loved animals. As a child I was always asking my Mum for a new pet and preferred to spend my time with animals. In my childhood I owned hamsters, rabbits, dogs and cats. This trait has followed me into adult life where I now have 4 dogs and 2 cats, so I can truly understand the bond between human and animal.

I am the proud owner of a second class bachelor of science degree with honours in psychology and counselling. After completing my degree I decided I wanted to combine my passion for helping others with my passion for animals and this led me to study further to become a certified pet loss grief coach. I thoroughly enjoyed learning how I can help others and I passed with a distinction in my pet bereavement counselling diploma. I am always continuing my learning and also have diplomas in life coaching and human grief and bereavement, so I am fully equipped to help you on your healing journey.

Pet loss grief is still an extremely taboo subject in our society and I believe it is very misunderstood. I want to help others to understand their grief journey and to establish coping mechanisms to move forward, without forgetting their beloved companion. I offer a kind and safe space for people to talk about their pet loss grief, rather than suppressing their emotions which can lead to complicated grief.

Please check out the resources page for helpful, self-guided resources to coping with pet loss.

If you would prefer a more personal approach, then I also offer 1-1 sessions.

Here is an example of what working together could look like.
